Exactly as the name implies, spring is all about ‘springing’ back to life. The season runs from complete inertia to gradual bloom. The quality of energy is rising, reaching, expanding and flowering, becoming more colorful. It’s about coming out of our dormant form and slowly learning how to express ourselves again. This week teaches us how to be gentle with ourselves, to move slow, to cultivate greater awareness as we integrate into our bodies after a long period of rest, sedentary lifestyle or perhaps even injury.

Summer is about being in full swing. You’ve broken out of your shell and you’re exploring what it feels like to shine and enjoy a good challenge. This season is about being at your peak and challenging your limit for further expansion in our Vinyasa classes. Your body and energy are in good health and together we learn how to stay balanced, at ease and free from injury and burnout by understanding the stress - rest - regenerate cycle and how to move with ease and grace through practice and life challenges.

Also known as fall, Autumn signals the passing of ripeness and the dropping of fruit. The hard work is complete and we are encouraged to sit back and enjoy the rewards. Yet many of us struggle to let go, to surrender. We move from one achievement to the next, addicted to the busyness of life. Maybe you’re suffering from repeated injuries, fatigue, stress, burnout or insomnia. You can’t seem to get yourself out of the rat race, out of your own incessant activity. This is the season for you. Explore your Yin Side.

Winter marks the end of fall, when all has released, transformed and dissolved back into the ground, ready to reinvent the wheel. We go into the stillness with revealing meditative practices along the theme of the Chakras. Old cycles and patterns are released so that space for a new birth and possibility can arise. We must allow ourselves to enter into inner quietude, true witness principle, our complete timeless presence and equanimity, just like that faceless being in deep sleep where there is no agenda, only void. From this vantage point, many truths are realised.
